Ethel M Chocolates, Mars Wrigley

Ethel M Chocolates is a unique client. It's local to Vegas but is part of the Mars Wrigley corporation. The biggest chocolate company in the world. We started producing their social content but quickly expanded our collaboration to in-store experiences, eCommerce design, advertising, social media content, and product catalogs. The idea was to help them transform their fragmented tactics into a more holistic and integrated consumer journey.

The company was created by Forrest Mars, Sr. as a boutique, premium confectionery company with a factory store and traditional catalog sales. Since 2014 the company started evolving to develop a more modern approach and design and creative, updating their factory store, packaging, and communication.

In collaboration with their marketing team, we began to support this process. Not an easy task to change a traditional brand that carries the name of the Mars family matriarch. But step by step, we changed the company's image and achieved great success in sales and brand recognition.

On and Offline.

Catalogs have always been a tradition at Ethel M. Even though we now focus on the digital catalog (to support sustainability), our printed versions became something of a collectible item. It’s not rare to find them on sale on eBay from time to time.

Socially Sweet.

Social media content was our starting point. I proudly did many of their posts myself, creating an image standard that could be used later by their in-house team.

Last year we started to expand our reach to advertising. Using their new brand vision to communicate on the web and trade event publications to market the brand to B2B clients.

Finally, the store is a cornerstone of the Ethel M Chocolates experience. From the delicious product samples to the factory viewing tour and their famous Cactus Garden, it is a must-see Vegas attraction, bringing visitors from all over the world. Creating visual imagery used in the store was a big part of this experience, making the products look great and showing their craft at its best.
