5000 miles from Main St.
This photographic and graphic project was inspired by a trip to Japan during a photoshoot for their telephone company campaign. Whilst identifying key differences between the Japanese and Western culture, it took me 8,000 images to create a photographic concept of how a ‘western’ individual would view Japan, and then see how the Japanese audience would react back to that vision.
East vs West
The idea then evolved and became a show at the National Art Center in Tokyo. However, this project was halted due to the unexpected rise of the coronavirus pandemic. We are now hoping to resume this project as soon as things get back to normal.
